I wish I had taken a photo of the their beef japchae. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. I could eat a whole pot of it. What a beautiful little hole in the wall restaurant! The service was great and the food even better! Check it out if in the area for insanely good sushi.

Yanagi is my favorite sushi place. Hands down. We've been loyal customers for a decade. You can't go wrong with their rolls. Highly recommend Monkey Ball and the Hawaiian Volcano Roll. The kids love the kids platters. Plenty of cooked options for people too.

It is my favorite sushi place. They have very big variety of roles, rice balls, noodles, different combinations of sushi. I would say there is a big menu. Service is very polite, friendly and quick. My family loves this place, my friends likes to go here as well. I always enjoy food quality, but I mostly order sushi, and sushi rolls. Some gluten-free rolls are available here too.

Absolutely delicious. Portions are so generous and everything is presented so prettily. Great fish quality and service. Atmosphere is softer yellow lighting and its cozy with dark wood, love it so much. Definitely try them out

I've been coming here for a few years now and I can't think of a single time that I've had a bad experience. I love the atmosphere, it's very calming relaxing, especially the jazz they play. The staff are all very nice and quick to attend to guests. And of course the food and drinks are amazing! This is a fantastic place to take someone on a nice date, or if you want to celebrate something important.

Love the food here and definitely worth the price. I don’t think our families’ favorite server works here anymore (Fabian) but I still think this is some of the best sushi in Austin!

Yanagi is a great spot for Japanese food, especially their sushi. It is a little pricey and can get a little noisy inside, but you won't mind it as soon as you start eating! Their sushi is fantastic. The normal salmon and tuna sushi is pretty good, but the fatty salmon and otoro sushi are amazing. They’re so good that I even forgot to take a picture since I wanted to eat them so bad! The fish is extremely fresh and well marbled. Definitely a must try if you're only used to "cheaper" sushi. The pork tonkatsu also is excellent. It is super crispy and comes with a great sauce. I've also had the bulgolgi, chicken teriyaki, and spicy ramen, but the pork tonkatsu is by far my favorite dish. Yanagi has great food! It's a little pricey, but well worth it and if you come during happy hour or lunch there's more affordable options.

I visited the restaurant a few times, and it never disappointed. The menu goes from beloved dishes to bento boxes, all for a reasonable price. I ordered twice for my family, the same wonderful presentation and flavors. Almost like they put a spell on the sushi pieces. I'll keep exploring the menu.
